Tree cage removal at Pascuzzi Ponds

Ever heard of restoration trash? That’s what we call it when a ongoing maintenance stalls at a natural area and the materials originally installed to protect plants and soils become hazards. That’s what’s happening at Pascuzzi Ponds! We have decades-old plastic and metal barriers strangling trees and shrubs on site. It’s time to get them out of there! Join The Wetlands Conservancy’s volunteer community for a day crouching, wire cutting, yanking, and hauling hazardous trash away from this space. This event is free and somewhat family friendly, but be advised that the work involves risk from sharp, rusty metal wire. Tools, gloves, and snacks are provided. Work lasts from 11am-1:30pm on Sunday Jan 25th. Click here to RSVP!
