In-Person TWC Beaver Survey Training - FULL!

Join us at the Brookwood Library in Hillsboro for the 2026 in-person beaver survey training! During this session, we’ll discuss beaver ecology and share results from previous survey years. Then we’ll review protocol for how to identify and log the signs of wild beaver presence throughout Washington County and the Tualatin River Watershed. If, after training, you choose to be a community scientist, you can help The Wetlands Conservancy gather data on our local urban beaver populations! Participation is free and all equipment is provided. After the presentation, participants will have a chance to try on chest waders and get familiar with field equipment. Remember, only one training is required - either virtual or in person - not both.
