Stewardship Saturday with Feminist Bird Club

Columbia Slough Watershed Council

Join the Feminist Bird Club PDX (FBC PDX), Columbia Slough Watershed Council, and Portland Parks & Recreation for a "birdy and dirty" birding and planting event at Whitaker Ponds!

FBC PDX is a volunteer-run birding club focused on providing opportunities for historically marginalized folks to learn and find community. This event is for those who identify as queer, BIPOC, and/or neurodivergent and their allies. To find more opportunities with FBC PDX, visit them on Instagram @fbc.pdx.

Whitaker Ponds is home to many bird species (over 189 species have been seen at this park). Come learn about these winged creatures and contribute to the natural habitat by removing weedy plants like thistle, ivy and blackberry, helping to increase the diversity of native wildflowers, shrubs, and trees at this unique natural area.
