Amphibian Egg Mass Survey Training 2024

Amphibian Egg Mass Survey Training Workshop - 2024

Interested in participating in community science to help us better understand amphibian populations in urban wetlands? Join us on Saturday, February 3rd for our 2024 Amphibian Egg Mass Survey Training!

What: Amphibian Egg Mass Training

When: February 3rd, 10am-11:30am PST

Where: RSVP here!

  • Surveys are held from February - April

  • Surveys last 1.5-3 hours and happen on weekdays and weekends

  • Most surveys are on very uneven ground, require walking through water and involve some bushwhacking

  • Chest waders are required and will be provided

Note: We do have waders for most shoe-sizes. Waders do not come in as many sizes as other legwear, so when signing up for specific survey dates, let us know something about your approximate body-size (S, M, L, XL, etc) and we will work to accomodate you. To ensure volunteer and staff safety:

  • Survey groups will be limited to 6 participants.

  • Surveys will be outdoors and we will practice careful social distancing.

  • Equipment will be sanitized between uses.

  • Surveyors must provide their own transportation to and from survey sites.

  • *If you have questions please contact Shea Fuller: volunteer@wetlandsconservancy.org
